Welcoming and Connecting International Students with Friends
AMIS (Atlanta Ministry with International Students) is the French word for "friends" and describes our mission to promote cultural and global understanding through friendship and hospitality with international students and scholars in greater Atlanta. Since 1978, we have been welcoming international students to Atlanta and connecting them with local friends in the community through our many programs and events.
AMIS Atlanta is hosting our first-ever An Afternoon of International Tea fundraiser on Sunday, June 2nd from 3-5 pm at North Avenue Presbyterian Church! Visit our International Tea page to learn more about the event, purchasing tickets, and becoming a sponsor!

Amazing place to meet friends from all over the world who will give you the experiences of their countries and their culture. I enjoyed networking while attending AMIS events.
It takes a village. This is why I’ve been a supporter of AMIS programs over the 20+ years I’ve worked in international education. AMIS has been an important longstanding community partner to Atlanta area college and university educators. International students and scholars who chose Atlanta as their new home receive a warm welcome from AMIS. All parties involved benefit from the opportunity to make new friends and have a window to the world.
