Amigo program

Amigo volunteers are local Atlanta families and individuals who extend friendship to an international student on a one-to-one basis. This is a commitment to friendship, not to house the student. Our organization introduces you to these young people.

As an Amigo, your commitment is to:

  • Call or write the student to tell him or her that you are his or her friend in the city.
  • Invite your student to your home for a meal and/or attend a community event together.
  • Continue the relationship with visits, calls, emails in a fashion that supports your joint goal of friendship.

Please fill out our secure web form to participate in the AMIGO Program. We will match you with an international student who has similar interests.

Students are enrolled across metropolitan Atlanta’s 23 institutions, including:

  • Agnes Scott College, American Intercontinental University, Atlanta Metropolitan State College, Art Institute of Atlanta,
